I have tried to download 4 different movies this morning. One is downloading, the others tried to download as TXT files, and when I clicked to try to watch them instead of downloading I just get a web page that says "OK." in the upper left hand corner.. anyone know what is wrong?
I tried all versions of the movies I wanted, they all tried to download as TXT.

Yes, I'm finding it happens with a lot of films in the last few days. Seems like something's wonky in the coding?

I've encountered this, too, but I figured out a workaround. When you're on the page that says "OK", take a look at the url. It will have http:// twice in it, as in "http://freecache02.org/http://movies04.archive.org/etc....." Just delete everything up to the second "http://", then follow that new link. It should start downloading then. Works for me, anyway.

We are using FreeCache to lighten the load on the Archive's bandwidth. FreeCache is still under development, and sometimes we have some growing pains. Especially our own FreeCache, freecache02.archive.org, seems sometimes overwhelmed. This can lead to dropped connections.
When that happens you can either click on the link again, and your browser should continue downloading the rest of the file. Or you can click on "Download Options" and choose another way to download the file.

I'm surprised that anybody sees a page saying "OK", though. If that happens again, could you please post the link (preferably in the

thanks for responding so quickly!
I've been able to download 1 of the 24 movies I've tried today. Cna't figure why one is good and the rest not. This freecache thang is not working yet.
I've taken your advice and had success with doing it thgough my web browser after going to 'download options'.
Here's the link that leads to an 'ok.' page: http://freecache.org/http://movies05.archive.org/3/movies/america_for_me_1/america_for_me_1.mpeg

Also, I've not been receiving an email when somebody responds to the post.
